Who this policy covers

GLOTRADE PTE. LTD. (UEN 202309380M) operates this website. Our registered office is 20 Bukit Batok Crescent, #13-06, Enterprise Centre, Singapore 658080. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to that company.

This policy covers visits to our public website and enquiries about our consulting services. A consulting engagement may require a separate agreement and additional information about how project data will be handled.

Personal data means information about an individual who can be identified from that information, or from that information together with other information we have or are likely to access. Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA) governs our obligations where it applies.

Information we receive

  • Correspondence. If you contact us, we receive the contact details and information you choose to provide, such as your name, organisation, return address and enquiry.
  • Technical information. Delivering a web page involves processing your IP address and request information. Hosting and network providers may keep operational logs, such as request times, requested pages and browser information, to deliver and protect the website.

This website has no accounts, payment facility, enquiry form, analytics or advertising trackers. Please share only what is needed for an enquiry. Do not send identity documents, financial account details or other sensitive information unless we have agreed a suitable way to receive it.

The website is intended for business audiences and is not directed at children.

Purposes and consent

We use relevant personal data to:

  • Respond to enquiries and discuss a potential engagement.
  • Manage correspondence and follow up on your request.
  • Deliver, maintain and protect the website.
  • Meet applicable legal requirements and handle complaints or legal claims.

We collect, use and disclose personal data with consent where required, or where the PDPA or another law permits it. Deemed consent applies only where its legal conditions are met. If we need data for a new purpose, we will provide the necessary notice and obtain consent where required.

Contacting us does not subscribe you to marketing. We do not sell personal data collected through this website or use it for behavioural advertising.

Disclosure and overseas transfers

Where necessary for the purposes above, data may be handled by service providers supporting website hosting, communications or business administration, by professional advisers, and by authorities where disclosure is required or permitted by law. We limit disclosure to what is appropriate for the relevant purpose.

A service provider may process data outside Singapore. Any overseas transfer we make must meet the PDPA’s transfer requirements, including comparable protection through legally enforceable obligations or another permitted arrangement. We do not promise that all data is stored in Singapore. Contact us for information about a particular transfer.

Retention and protection

Enquiry records are retained while needed to resolve and follow up on the enquiry, and for any continuing legal or business purpose. Relevant records may be retained longer for an agreed engagement, legal obligation or dispute. We cease retaining personal data, or remove the means of identifying individuals, when those purposes no longer apply.

We are required to make reasonable security arrangements to protect personal data in our possession or control. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Where a data breach is notifiable, the PDPA’s assessment and notification requirements apply; our PDPA notice explains these obligations.

Your choices and rights

You may request access to personal data we hold about you, information about its use or disclosure in the preceding year, and correction of errors or omissions, subject to the PDPA’s exceptions. You may also withdraw consent with reasonable notice. See our PDPA notice for request procedures, timing and possible consequences.

For personal data enquiries, access or correction requests, or withdrawal of consent, contact the Data Protection Officer, GLOTRADE PTE. LTD..
